Manuel Cañera

Hello! my name is Manuel, I study at the José Alcántara High School, in Belmez, and  I´m going to tell my travel in Leeds.

When I arrived in Leeds, I met my new friend called Morgan. First, I went to Morgan´s house by bus, there I dropped the suitcase in Morgan´s bedroom. When I had dinner, Morgan and his mum started to speak with me, initially I understood nothing but I was used to it fast.

The second day, I went to Morgan´s school. Which is bigger than mine. The school has a cantine, four gyms, a lots of classrooms and the art and technology corridor which is very decorated. Morgan´s school is fantastic. In the afternoon, I went to the Leeds City Center. There were a lot of shops. Morgan and I returned to his house by bus. That day Morgan and I played football in a nearby park.

The third day, we went to York ``Viking City´´. We visited the city for all the morning and afternoon. When we returned to the school, Morgan and I went to have dinner to a McDonald´s. That day, it was snowing and Morgan had a problem, he lost his bus card and we returned home by car.

The fourth day, we visited The National Coal Mining Museum of England. First, we went down to the mine and finally we visited the museum and we returned soon to Morgan´s house because we had a party at night. I had a good time in the party.

The next morning, I said goodbye to Morgan and we went to London. There, we saw a lot of things like the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, London eye…

Finally, we returned to Spain by plane. I had a good time in England. I hope to return soon to England.

Hello! My name is Cecilia and I`m fourteen years old. I study at the "José Alcántra High School", I have been in England for a week and I want to share this amusing experience with all of you:

I was very nervous, on the day of the trip. I have never taken a plane and it was very windy that day. When we get on the plane I wasn’t nervous. After a while once we arrived, it was cold, the families picked us at the train station.

I had a great five days in Leeds, we did a lot of really cool activities with all partners and the last day we had a farewell party, a lot of people cried.The day in London was great although we were tired. I loved visiting the monuments and sights of London. They were all very nice.

I was sad in the return trip because I would have liked to stay longer and be with my patner.It was a experience that I’d definitely repeat every year, I will never forget my chance.

Raquel Pablo Alcalá

Hello, my name is Raquel and I`m fourteen years old. I am from Belmez and I study at the "José Alcántara" High School. I have been in England for a week, the trip to England was for me an unforgettable experience, full of good times. When my friends and I went to the meeting where we were told that we were going to Leeds, so we could not believe tha we were going so far together and also we were going to be in London!On the day of the trip, we were very nervous and even more with the plane because I have never traveled by it. When we arrived the families were waiting for us and I saw Niamh for the first time then we went to her house, I was afraid and very nervous, but then when we arrived to her home, we went with a friend of hers to her house and we started talking about our stuff and I felt more relaxed.

On the first days, I had trouble getting up so early, but then I got used. The first day to get into the school I was very surprised because it didn´t seem a high schhool.

The other days were great. We had a really good time. We saw at Niamh home movies, one night we went to have dinner at an Italian Restaurant with her friend Lucy and Anisa who was a French girl. It was fun and I had a really good time!

On the last day the high school organized a forewell party. At the end we were all crying and hugging especially the French. Everyone was very sad. Nobody wanted to go!

The next morning, we went to London. I loved the city because it is beautiful. I´d never have thought that I would go to London! I cannot imagine that I´d go with my best friends!

The best of my experience in England was to be able to share this experience with my friends! I won´t forget neither of samllest detail of this adventure! It was like living a dream!

Mercedes Torquemada Cabrera

Hello! My name is Mercedes and I`m 16 years old. I study at "José Alcántara" High School in Belmez, Córdoba. This is my last year and I had the chance to take part in a Comenius proyect. I travalled to Leeds and I want to share with you this amusing experience. 

The 11^th February, I traveled to England. I took a plane in Malaga. The plane landed in Manchester. There I met friends from France, and they traveled to Leeds with us.

In Leeds I met Tia and David. I went to Tia’s house and I met her mother. After that, she showed me house. We had lunch. I had a shower and we ate. Then, we watched TV and we slept.

-The 12^th February, we went to school. We saw the school and I went to study history. Later we went to visit Leeds. It was very cold. When I arrived home we went to dance`` Zumba´´ whit Tia and her friends. When we arrived home later this evening I met her sister and everybody had lunch. I had a shower we played Wii and after that we went to bed.

-On 13^th February, we got up later and we went to school. Then, we went to York by bus. Amelie made two groups. My group went to the Viking Museum. After that, we had lunch. We visited the city and it snowed.

When we arrived in Leeds, it was snowing too. I went home and we had dining. Later we went to the bedroom and we talked for ages. Then, I had a showed and I went to bed.

-On 14^th February, we went to the National Coal Mining Museum for England. I was bore. We went down into a mine. It was amazing. Later, we came back to Leeds. At night, we had a party at Temple Moor. I enjoyed a lot there. When I said goodbye, I was very sad. Tia and I went at home, and I cried because I didn’t want to go Spain. We went to bed.

-On 15^th February, the Spanish people went to London. We visited London. London is so beautiful.

-On 16^th February, we went to Malaga and took a plane to Malaga where we met our families.
